Anti-Corrosive Steel Pipe

3PE anti-corrosive steel pipe mother pipe including the SMLS pipes, SSAW pipes or LSAW pipes. 3PE anti-corrosive coating is widely used in the oil field due to it’s good corrosion resistance, moisture resistance and permeability and mechanical properties.The anti-corrosive coating of the 3PE steel pipes has crucial importance for the service life of the buried pipes. The same material pipes can have various service lives if they adopt different outside anti-corrosive layers. Some can be buried in the ground for decades without corrosion, but some will be leak in a few years. 

3PE anti-corrosive coating constituted by the follow:

First Layer: FBE>100um

Second Layer: adhesive 170-250μm

Third Layer: PE 2.5-3.7mm

During the operation, to mixed these three materials together, and make it adhere to the steel pipe to form good anti-corrosive coating. The processing methods have two kinds:  spiral wound and circular mould coated types.

3PE anti-corrosive means 3 layers PE coating, it combines the European 2PE anti-corrosive coating and the North American FBE together. It is accepted and used in all over the world for more than ten years.

The 3PE is the best anti-corrosive coating both for the effect and performance, it is widely used in many projects.
