Reducer

Reducer is one of the chemical industry fittings, it is used for the connection of two different diameters. The reducer can divided to concentric reducer and eccentric reducer. The reducer usually adopt the forming process of reducing press, expanding press or reducing and expanding press. Some reducer also apply the method of punching.

For the raw material, except for the steel pipes, some sizes are punched for the reducers by using the steel plate.

The materials for the reducers are carbons steel, the method is large diameter multiply small diameter multiply the wall thickness.

The standard of the reducer: GB standard, EN standard, American standard and other non-standard high-pressure and low-pressure pressing.

The technique characteristic for the reducer is that the strength are much higher than carbon steel which have the same carbon content, it has good toughness and plasticity, good weldability and corrosion resistance.

Application:

1.When the fluid flow in pipes changes, such as increasing or decreasing, velocity requirements is not too much, all needs to use reducer.’

2.At the entrance of a pump, in order to prevent cavitation, it need to use reducer.

3.At the connection of flow meter or valve, in order to cooperate with the joint of the instrument, also need to use reducer.
